What are the key elements of Vivek Ramaswamy's plan to stop the China-Russia military alliance and promote peace in Ukraine?

Vivek Said: My plan to achieve peace in Ukraine and stop the China-Russia military alliance is the mirror-image of President Nixon’s diplomatic maneuver that distanced China from Russia in 1972, except this time Putin is the new Mao.

👉Here's a summary of the key points:

Peace Plan for Ukraine and China-Russia Alliance:

Vivek Ramaswamy's plan is compared to President Nixon's diplomatic maneuver in 1972 that distanced China from Russia.

Ramaswamy proposes to end the Ukraine war by ceasing US support for Ukraine and negotiating a peace treaty with Russia. The goal is to prevent Russia's military alliance with China.

Key Objectives of the Plan:

  • Cease further US support for Ukraine.
  • Broker a peace treaty with Russia.
  • Offer a Korean war-style armistice agreement that would involve ceding most of Ukraine's Donbas region to Russia.
  • Suspend US military assistance to Ukraine.
  • Prevent Kyiv from joining NATO.
  • Lift Western sanctions against Russia.
  • Withdraw all troops from Ukraine and close bases in Eastern Europe.

US Involvement in Ukraine:

  • Mention that there are few US combat troops on the ground in Ukraine, primarily for embassy security.
  • More than $75 billion in US assistance has been provided to Kyiv since the war began in February 2022.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Ukraine will maintain its sovereignty.
  • Russia's power will be diminished.
  • Ukraine will accept a US-negotiated agreement backed by Russian commitments to the US.

Comparison to Other Candidates:

  • Ramaswamy's policy is contrasted with that of Republican rivals Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis.
  • Trump claimed he would end the Russian aggression in Ukraine within 24 hours.
  • DeSantis does not favor continued funding of the Ukraine war, referring to it as a "territorial dispute."

Historical Reference:

Ramaswamy's strategy is likened to Nixon's approach to distancing China from Russia in 1972, with the difference being that Putin is compared to the new Mao in this context.

Conclusion

Overall, the text outlines Vivek Ramaswamy's proposed peace plan for Ukraine, which involves ending US support for Ukraine, negotiating a peace treaty with Russia, and addressing the China-Russia military alliance. The plan emphasizes achieving US security objectives while preserving Ukraine's sovereignty.

Anna Paulina Luna with Donald Trump House GOP Support ‘Surging’ to Tie SAVE Act to Funding Deal, Says Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) says momentum is building within the House Republican conference to force a vote on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act by linking it to upcoming government funding legislation. In a post on X Thursday, Luna said another Republican lawmaker had pledged support for efforts to attach the SAVE Act to any bill the Senate sends back to the House as lawmakers race to avoid a potential partial government shutdown at the end of the month. “I have received a phone call from another Republican member who has stated that they will back us in our efforts at attaching the SAVE Act to any piece of legislation that Schumer sends back to the House,” Luna wrote.
