Former President Donald Trump was at the Save America Rally in Wilkes Barre yesterday. He may not be on the ballot this year, but he is endorsing Republican candidates Dr. Oz and Doug Mastriano, and he would like to see both of them in November.
The political spotlight was once again on Luzerne County. On Saturday, former president Donald Trump held a Save America rally in Wilkes-Barre Township, Pennsylvania, after President Biden visited Wilkes-Barre this week.
How many people attended Trump Rally in Wilkes Barre, PA?
The Trump supporters here at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza had been here all day getting the arena ready for the Trump rally. Around 10,000 people attended this Save America Rally. At Trump rallies in the past, there has been standing room only, and people are already showing up for the rally. Workers were setting up security fences outside the Mohegan Sun Arena this Thursday that were used to help guide those who came to the event inside the setup.
As part of the entrance process, some folks were already there, hoping to get a front-row seat. Vendors selling Trump merchandise set up their shops in and around the arena.
Wilkes-barre township officials said people should prepare for an early start to the day Saturday and possibly a late finish.
The Wilkes-Barre Township police department said
"We don't anticipate too many traffic issues. Obviously, we'll consider it to be like a normal arena event, a full music concert, whatever. We shouldn't have too many problems. More information on traffic patterns and road closures will be updated here.
There was a police presence in this area and Security was also heavy in and around the arena.
