This morning, President Joe Biden spoke with Lee County, Florida Commissioner Cecil Pendergrass. FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell joined them on the call. They discussed ways the Biden Administration can support Lee County in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Ian, including meeting immediate needs for search and rescue efforts and power restoration, as well as helping to address challenges faced by local hospitals and problems presented by damage to roads and bridges.

President Biden reassured the Commissioner that the administration would provide all the resources at its disposal. The Commissioner thanked the President for the support that has been provided thus far.
